Arrival in Warsaw. Transfer to Goniądz, a small city situated directly at Biebrza River and at the edge of Biebrza National Park. You will enjoy the dinner in the regional inn at the hotel and after that watch the slide presentation of Biebrza National Park. Overnight in Goniądz.
After breakfast the guided walking tour through the Biebrza National Park. The largest national park in Poland, the Biebrza wildlife refuge, encompasses Europe’s most extensive natural bog area. The fauna is diverse and dominated by water and mud birds with some extremely rare species. The park is also Poland’s largest habitat of the elk and beaver. The highlight of the day is the visit to the unique Red Bog, a strictly protected reserve. During the four-hour-walking tour, you will be provided with lunch packages. Afternoon is free for relaxing or individual visits. Barbecue dinner and overnight in Goniądz.
After having a kayaking crash course in the morning, you will discover the picturesque landscape of Biebrza River during the 2,5-hour kayaking tour to Osowiec, beautifully located in the river valley. Built in the late-19th-century fortress of Osowiec, is certainly worth a visit. You can also admire the landscape during the boat cruise on the Augustów Canal, a remarkable achievement of the 19th century hydraulic engineering. After having a picnic, the 6 km long bicycle tour back to the hotel. In the evening you will enjoy a farewell dinner in a rustical inn with accordion music and folk songs. Overnight in Goniądz.
