Programme

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival in Masuria or in Warsaw, coach transfer from Warsaw to the hotel on request. Meeting with our tour guide and and after check in a group walk across the spacious hotel area.

Day 2: Bicycle tour and skansen

Full day bicycle tour. You drive about 35 km to Nowogród. In the suburbs, on a precipice, there is the oldest Polish ethnographic park – the Kurpian skansen. You will see fully equipped farmhouses and windmills, surrounded by gardens, granaries, forges and other workstations. All of them are examples of the regional architectural style. For the transfer back to the hotel, our coach with a bicycle trailer is at your disposal.

Day 3: Hiking and Old Believers

Today’s excursion leads you to the town of Pisz, an interesting tourist locality, situated in the south of the Śniardwy Lake. Pisz is the starting point for your hike through the Pisz Forest, the largest expanse of woods in the Masurian region. Then, visit to Ruciane Nida, a terminal of the Krutynia kayaking trail and an attractive holiday resort. In Wojnowo, nearby, you will be shown round the Old Believer’s monastery. Return to the hotel and bonfire with grilled sausages.

Day 4: Kayaking tour

Full day kayaking tour on the Pisa river, one of Poland’s most attractive waterways and paradise for enthusiasts of aquatic sports. Along the rivers Pisa and Narew, you pass the forests of the Kurpiowska region. Amidst these beautiful forests there are some well known aquatic sports centers.

Day 5: National Park

Excursion to the Biebrza National Park, one of Europe’s largest marshlands. The habitat is populated by otter, beaver, moose and wolf. The area is also a nesting place of about 260 bird species. The best tourist base is Osowiec, where the park’s head office is located. Here, you visit a 19th century fortress.

Day 6: Departure

Breakfast and departure.
